Why laptop adapter connected but not charging?

Our laptops come with an adapter that is powered by electricity. Anytime that the laptop is plugged into an electrical socket, the laptop adapter is charged. This simultaneously powers the laptop. The charged adapter is what sustains the power of the laptop anytime that the laptop is unplugged from the electric socket. In some cases, your laptop can be plugged in but will refuse to charge. What is the possible reason for this phenomenon?

1). Inspect all your physical connecting systems: Before you start with deep system troubleshooting, you should check the basic features of the laptop.
